Mecca Bingo, part of The Rank Group plc, is one of the UK’s leading social and bingo club operators, with sites located across theUK in most major towns and cities. It also operates Meccabingo.com and Meccagames.com as an extension of the Mecca Bingo brand.

 

 

Mecca Bingo has appointed digital champions in each of its bingo halls across the UK. These digital champions have a laptop to demonstrate the benefits of the internet on a one-to-one basis. In 99 Mecca Bingo clubs, internet taster sessions were held outside of normal opening hours. Mecca is also working with UK online centres to provide training courses for beginners.

Mecca is now seeking to enable recently purchased handheld “bingo computers” for web use, so that customers can use them to browse the web when bingo sessions are not in play. This will provide internet access in a familiar and trusted environment.
